CURRENT STATE
Across Instagram and other social platforms midweek afternoons consistently show the highest engagement with Sprout Social confirming peak times from Monday through Thursday afternoons. Hopper HQ and X/Social data also highlight weekday mornings and early evenings as strong secondary windows while weekends especially Sundays yield the lowest engagement. Instagram Reels outperform feed posts by 80-120% in engagement with Tuesday and Wednesday mornings (7–8 a.m. EST) being particularly effective for Reels. Audience demographics skew toward young professionals aged 25- influencing these timing patterns.
